Instructions for Updating the FNB Mobile App

iOS® Users:

Determining which iOS version you have:

  1. Go to “Settings”
  2. Tap on “General”
  3. Tap on “About”
  4. Next to “Software Version” there will be a number that begins with the version of software you have. Example: 12.3.1 would mean you are an iOS12 user.

Manually updating the FNB Mobile App for iOS 12 users and older versions

  1. Go to the App Store®
  2. Tap on the “Updates” button at the bottom of the page
  3. Slide/pull the screen downward to refresh
  4. Your apps that require updates should appear
  5. Either select “Update All” or choose the FNB Mobile App to update

Manually updating your FNB Mobile App for iOS 13 users

  1. Go to the App Store
  2. Tap on your profile icon in the top right corner
  3. Drag page down to refresh
  4. Your apps that require updates should appear
  5. Either select “Update All” or choose the FNB Mobile App to update

Setting up automatic updates

  1. Go to “Settings”
  2. Go to “iTunes® & App Store”
  3. Under the “Automatic Downloads” section, look for “Updates” and toggle the switch to the ON position for apps to automatically update*

*Below the Automatic Downloads section, there is a control for “Use Cellular data”. If toggled to OFF, you must be connected to a Wi‐Fi network to receive updates and downloads. By enabling this feature, the updates will take place even when not connected to Wi‐Fi, at the expense of your cellular data.

Android™ users:

Manually updating the FNB Mobile App for Android users

  1. Open the Google Play™ Store app
  2. Tap the Menu <hamburger icon image>
  3. Tap “My apps & games” from menu
  4. Apps with requiring an update are labeled “Update”.
  5. Either select “Update All” or choose the FNB Mobile App to update

Update ALL Android apps automatically

  1. Open the Google Play Store app
  2. Tap the Menu
  3. Tap “Settings” from menu
  4. Tap “Auto‐update apps”
  5. Select an option:

Over any network to update apps using either Wi‐ Fi or cellular data*
Over Wi‐Fi only to update apps only when connected to Wi‐Fi

*By enabling this feature, the updates will take place even when not connected to Wi‐Fi, at the expense of your cellular data.

Update SELECT individual Android apps automatically

  1. Open the Google Play Store app
  2. Tap the Menu <hamburger icon image>
  3. Tap “My apps & games” from menu
  4. Select the app(s) you want to automatically update – FNB Mobile App
  5. Tap “More”
  6. Tap “Enable auto update”

Update Google Play apps on Chromebook™

  1. A “Updates available” notification will appear on the bottom right of screen*
  2. Select “Update” or “Update all”

*If there is no notification on the bottom right of screen:

  1. Select the “Launcher”
  2. Select Google Play app
  3. Follow instructions above for updating Android apps, based on your preference
