Applying for a Minor/Teen Checking Account

First National Bank is pleased to assist Iowa's teens open a minor/teen checking account and obtain a debit card as they learn responsible use of these valuable financial tools. Youth ages 13 through 17 with no ID are eligible to apply for a checking account with a parent/guardian joint owner.

Accompanied by their parent/guardian, a teen may visit any of our bank locations to apply for a checking account. Or you can use the online form below to start the application process. Once we receive the completed form, a Relationship Banker will contact you (either the same day or the next business day) to complete the process.

When completing the form below, the applicant for the new account is the teen. The joint account owner is the parent/guardian.

Nonresidents of Iowa are eligible to apply for a checking account if they intend to move to Iowa within the next 60 days. To apply, use the form below.
